Marines Into Libya?
Came a cross this news report today. Its actually from a couple of days ago. I thought the policy was “no boots on the ground”. Haven’t heard this reported on any major networks either. ABC News Channel 12HD reports-
We’ve seen Camp Lejuene marines in Iraq and Afghanistan and now they are joining the fight against Libya. 2200 marines from the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, or 26th MEU will take part. Their mission is to help end the violence directed at the Libyan people. “In Libya right now they are doing exactly what we need them to do. They are doing what they are told and right now that’s protecting Libyan people against Qadhafi forces,” said Captain Timothy Patrick, a marine with the 26th MEU.

This item from Jihad Watch says a disproportionate no. of Jihadists suicide bombers in Iraq came from the Benghazi region.
While I’d be happy to see the mad Colonel and his ilk up against a wall I really wonder what our “leaders” think they’re doing there.

Of course we all know that there is only ONE real and permanent solution to the recent unrest, and ongoing existence of terror based groups/regions within Islamic nations like Libya:
