Haven’t Done Anything Wrong? Why Quit Then?
About time Hughes came clean and told the public what happened. If he “did nothing wrong”, why can’t he be fully up front about the event? If he “did nothing wrong”, its clearly just a mistake that he is “under investigation”. Why then resign as an MP? Check out this hare brained rubbish. These guys can’t even produce a good cover story-
Goff in the Herald- “Events of the past few days have made it increasingly clear to Darren that the controversy around the allegations made against him has made it impossible to carry out his duties. In reaching that decision he is adamant that he has committed no offence. He needs to focus on clearing his name. I agree this is the right decision.
In a statement, Mr Hughes said his position as an MP had become untenable. “Although people are commonly thought to be innocent until proven guilty, it has become clear to me that this doesn’t apply in the political arena,” Mr Hughes said. “I have done nothing wrong, and I remain confident that the legal process will have the right outcome. ”
This is so weak and has so many logic holes only Goff and Hughes could be so lame as to try it on. Darren did something wrong. He knows it. The victim knows it, and the cops know it. That’s why Hughes resigned.
Sarah Nails It- Lamestream Media Must Be Confronted on False Reporting
“No one ever won a game only playing defense.” Sarah Palin on Facebook-
Lamestream Media: Reload or White Flag?
Let’s keep pivoting around media bias, and not get distracted with the vulgar personal shots. Call out lies and set the record straight, but always keep the ball moving. No one ever won a game only playing defense.”
Upon my return from an outstanding and productive trip to India and Israel, I’ve been inundated with requests to respond to petty comments made in the media the past few days, including one little fella’s comment [Bill Maher I'd guess] which decent people would find degrading. (I won’t bother responding to it though, because it was made by he who reminds me of an annoying little mosquito found zipped up in your tent; he can’t do any harm, but buzzes around annoyingly until it’s time to give him the proverbial slap.)
I’ve given this a lot of thought, and I’d like to share my thoughts on the never-ending issue of media bias. Read more »
Trump Not Backing Down On Birth Certificate, Say Obama Should Release Other Documents Too
I’m no fan of Trump for President. Anyone who contributes $50,000 to the left wing Rahm Emanuel to help him become Mayor of Chicago is off my Christmas card list. However he’s good on restoring America, and confronting China, and he’s real good on hitting Obama on the unnatural degree of secrecy surrounding his rise to President.
Trump faced down the attempt by Joy Behar to place the pejorative label “Birther” on him, and Trump’s response to this attempted intimidation will ensure that Behar will never try it again. If other Republicans had taken the Trump approach the “birther” smear would have died out long ago. Weakness and cowardice within the Republican movement has allowed the left to suppress discussion on this important Constitutional issue. Trump with only a few words of confrontation has blown this strategy wide open. Read more »

Biden: Impeachment if Bush bombs Iran
November 29, 2007 5:03 PM
PORTSMOUTH — Presidential hopeful Delaware Sen. Joe Biden stated unequivocally that he will move to impeach President Bush if he bombs Iran without first gaining congressional approval.
Biden spoke in front of a crowd of approximately 100 at a candidate forum held Thursday at Seacoast Media Group. The forum focused on the Iraq war and foreign policy. When an audience member expressed fear of a war with Iran, Biden said he does not typically engage in threats, but had no qualms about issuing a direct warning to the Oval Office.
“The president has no authority to unilaterally attack Iran, and if he does, as Foreign Relations Committee chairman, I will move to impeach,” said Biden, whose words were followed by a raucous applause from the local audience.
Biden said he is in the process of meeting with constitutional law experts to prepare a legal memorandum saying as much and intends to send it to the president.
Social Liberals Besotted With PC Doctrines On Sexual Orientation of MPs
“For my own part, as long as he hasn’t broken the law I don’t care what Hughes or any other politician gets up to in the privacy of their own lives. Couldn’t be less interested. That’s their business–or should be.”
“I was unaware until now that Darren is gay, not that it makes a difference to his performance as an MP.”
Two cringeworthy comments from the blogosphere. Then we have David Farrar’s likewise cringing obeisance where he would not even allow comments on his post, and then deleted some he considered “inappropriate” from his General Debate Section. In some cases it may have been because of legal concerns. In others it was clearly defined by Mr. Farrar’s strangely obsessive fear of offending the homosexual/ Progressive political power bloc.
