Separatist TV Station Funded By Taxpayers Gives 150 Staff $1000 Christmas Bonuses

Now I’m all for Christmas bonuses, but should they be given out when taxpayers are footing the bill? Even worse, should they be given out in the case of completely unnecessary government operations like Maori TV? A separatist operation established to drive a wedge into NZ’s race relations.

Everyone working at Maori TV (staff 150) is to be given a $1000 bonus. The NZ Herald reports-

The station, which receives about $50 million of its funding from government agency Te Mangai Paho, as well as a direct government grant, could afford the increase because projections for the financial year included running a $32,000 surplus, Mr Mather said.

Now what strikes me as strange about these kind of actions is the apparent ignorance of those running organisations like Maori TV as to how much resentment there is today at government taking more and more in taxes, and wasting that money so taken on extravagances like this.

Its not enough that National and Labour take my money to set up a race based separatist television station, something that is completely outside the bounds of a government’s duties and responsibilities, they have to really piss me off by using part of that money to pay staff bonuses.

If Maori TV was started off with private capital, and it went out there in to broadcasting land and made its own road, and made an after tax profit, then fine. If the board wanted to share that profit with the workers then again, fine. It would still be a racist separatist organisation, but if it was privately funded, then that’s the way it is.

But when they force the taxpayer to fund it, and the idea behind it is so depraved and so offensive to some taxpayers, and then they see bonuses paid out for no apparent reason, and theses bonuses come from that money forcibly taken, its more than a little annoying.

These moron politicians just don’t get it. We are angry at socialism, and we’re more angry when we see these kind of socialist extravagances, especially when we’re struggling and being thieved from left right and centre by a government stupidly determined to keep an unworkable political idea (socialism) afloat.

One million people didn’t vote last election. I’d say that many of those would have refused to vote out of utter disgust at the depraved nature of NZ’s government, and bonuses for Maori TV staff, as bad as they appear, are only the tip of the iceberg.

We desperately need a reform party. Is it the Conservatives?

Maori TV staff deserve $1000 bonus, says boss

and what does it say, when it cannot even survive without huge transfusions of cash. It is clearly not wanted in the marketplace, have to assume that advertisers place little value on it. No one must listen to the drivel. So why does English bleed good productive New Zealand of capital to waste it so flagrantly? Any proper manager, ( which English isn’t), would have put a pencil thru this item years ago. Beats me how this nation will ever claw its way out of the abyss?

    Correct Captain Sir…

And if National were true to their principles they would do as you say. In fact they would never have started the whole damn thing off. (as I think they did under Jenny Shipley)

National and Labour- two kissing commie cousins and useless in terms of what this country needs right now.

Borrowing millions a week to keep the public sector afloat, and these unaware separatist morons are paying out $150,000 in bonuses? FFS, money grows on trees in socialist la la land.

There is actually no such thing as “Maori” tv. What there is, is a false construct and pretended viability, using yet another Pakeha invention, propped up by taxpayers’ money
