Fancy this happening in such a place. Everybody knows all the sexual abuse occurs in Christian schools.
A secondary school teacher has been deregistered after twice having sex with a female student on a classroom floor and once in his car, believing he was “counselling” her for an allegedly incestuous relationship. In a Teachers Council disciplinary tribunal report, released this week, the unnamed, married teacher admitted serious misconduct by having sex with the student, who was studying Level 2 NCEA — usually taken by Year 12 students. The council ruled that the case was “extremely serious” and the teacher’s behaviour brought “seriously into question his fitness to teach and endangered the wellbeing and learning of the student in question”. According to a draft report commissioned by the U.S. Department of Education, in compliance with the 2002 “No Child Left Behind” act signed into law by President Bush, between 6 percent and 10 percent of public school children across the country have been sexually abused or harassed by school employees and teachers.
