Block Obama 2012- Revive Posey Bill For Proof of Citizenship

Last year Republican Congressman Bill Posey of Florida introduced legislation to ensure that future presidential candidates provide proof of United States citizenship for the Presidency. In other words, no more will a fraudulent sign off by a crook like Nancy Pelosi be sufficient. Within weeks of introducing the bill, 5 Republican Congressmen had signed on. (Reps. Marsha Blackburn (TN), John Carter (TX), John Culberson (TX), Ted Poe (TX), and Dan Burton (IN).)

The bill went nowhere though because the Democrats had a big majority in the house. They don’t have that majority now so this would be a good time to reintroduce the bill and sign it in to law. The language from the Bill:

“To amend the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971 to require the principal campaign committee of a candidate for election to the office of President to include with the committee`s statement of organization a copy of the candidate`s birth certificate, together with such other documentation as may be necessary to establish that the candidate meets the qualifications for eligibility…”

News report from time bill was introduced- While it may be too late to revoke Barack Hussein Obama’s hold on the Presidency, it is not too late to make the issue of his birth outside of the United States, most likely in Kenya, an issue for Campaign 2012. With that in mind, a coalition of conservatives and libertarians around the Nation are pushing for the enactment of HR 1503, introduced by freshman Republican Congressman of Florida Bill Posey. The legislation would require proof of birth in the United States of America or its Territories to run for the office of the Presidency. This shall take the form of a valid hospital-issued birth certificate, and not just a receipt for such a certificate as Obama has released. Source.

Shouldn’t of course be any problem for the President right? Everything he needs is on file in Hawaii right?

. . . O/T Reddy, but look at this . . just read this piece by Melanie Phillips. Unbelievable. Britain’s a mess. It’s finished I reckon. Beyond salvation.

Melanie is one of the most insightful political/cultural analysts out there IMHO.

Thanks for the link Angus, a good read, and I agree, Melanie is good at what she does. You could put her up against every house “journalist” at the Herald and the Dominion simultaneously and she would out score them 10 to 1 in the writing stakes.

“Of course, for people such as the Bulls, George Orwell’s famous observation that some are more equal than others is all too painfully true. Indeed, the obsession with equality has now reached ludicrous, as well as oppressive, proportions.”

This is so true. There utter brain dead indoctrinated uneducated morons who bleat on and on and on about “equality” when in 9 cases out of 10 its a matter that’s got nothing to do with it are just the most annoyingly stupid people out there. So lame, and only capable of the most paper thin perceptions. “Ooooh its unequal, we must legislate to make it equal.” Fucking morons.

It’s interesting how one evolves . . . I was quite a lefty in the mid-90’s. By the early 2000’s I saw that leftism was a pop fantasy – a delusion – but I didn’t grasp the idea of the machinations of the global Left. (I just saw Klark & Co as a local anomaly).

I’ve gone from being an atheist, to an agnostic to being a deist in that time. I don’t know why.

You’ve been a great influence Reddy. You and Uncle Trevor Loudon have been light years ahead of anyone else in NZ understanding the political Left.

FFM has a link to the source story that triggered Melanie’s first topic, and the others can be found from that link last time I looked. Not in my name

Thanks for those links Zen. I read it and found this-

“Although it faced criticism over the extra burdens it would place on business and the public sector, it has been kept by the Coalition and backed by Home Secretary Theresa May. In Opposition, Mrs May, who is also Minister for Women and Equality, said many of the legislation’s clauses would be too bureaucratic and expensive. The Equality Act was championed by Deputy Labour leader Harriet Harman when in government She (May) scrapped some requirements but introduced much of the Act, including a much-derided provision creating the concept of ‘third-party harassment’.

See, these people we elect in the hope they will provide relief from the insanity of the left ARE JUST AS DAMN BAD. They are traitors and betrayers and we have to get them out of our lives as urgently as we need to get the Labourites out of our lives. They are charlatans and frauds. At least the left are true to their cause. These people posturing as rightists are just liars and deceivers.

There is an urgent need to start winding back all of this far left productivity destroying idiotic Marxist legislation but they do not wind back one iota of it. In fact, as above, the carry on with implementing it with only peripheral and meaningless changes. For their unashamed cowardice, I detest these duplicitous swine far more than I detest the left.

  8. […] U.S. Rep. Bill Posey, R-Rockledge, has yet to decide if he will reintroduce legislation that would require presidential candidates to present a birth certificate or other such documents to satisfy the constitutional requirement that candidates are citizens. “He’s still evaluating the bill,” said his spokesman, George Cecela, on Monday. I wrote a post on Posey’s previous effort to get the bill passed here. […]
