As a long time reader of David Horowitz I know quite a bit about the outrageous leftist bias that exists on campus throughout the US. Universities are known to have hiring policies that exclude anybody who might possess even a small hint of Conservatism in their political makeup. Surveys of the voting habits of academic staff have shown an overwhelming bias towards the Democrat Party. Speakers invited to address student gatherings are almost always leftists or far leftists, and on the odd occasion Conservatives do show up they are shouted down or assaulted. Groups promoting Conservative ideas are sometimes banned on campus.

Basically, universities have been taken over by leftists, and like the left destroy everything they get control of, so universities have been destroyed as places of free thought and speech, open learning and traditional educational methodology. They are now basically little Nth Korean gulags with speech and behaviour codes that enforce cultural Marxist ideas. Politically naive students unknowingly proceed through an indoctrination process rather than an education process.

The smart students of course are aware of the way the system tries to manipulate them. They can usually survive a university course without too much damage to their ability to reason and think. Sadly, there are still many of the not so smart who fall victim to the indoctrination process and in many cases this affliction remains with them for a lifetime.

Climate change is the great Marxist scam of our times and as you would expect, leftist zealots posing as University Professors have played a big part in getting this key piece of socialist political hogwash accepted and believed in by the young. Of course Universities will always deny this corruption of the education process is taking place, but these days we have the benefit of wonderfully small and effective video cameras. After getting a tip from a Louisiana State University student, a web-based organization called Campus Reform sent a cameraman into Professor Bradley E. Schaefer’s freshman Astronomy 1101 class. Yep that’s right. He’s an Astronomy Professor. What’s he doing talking about global warming? Well, that’s the whole problem ain’t it?

Professor Schaefer’s students were asked to sit in sections according to what they think the U.S. should do about global warming. The 4 main groups were- 1) Do nothing, 2) follow Kyoto accords, 3) mandate birth control or 4) eliminate all engines. Here are two videos (1 1/2 minutes each) that show the appalling behaviour of the Professor and the manner in which he ridiculed and intimidated and threatened and derided the views of the students who sat in group 1- (Do Nothing). This is not education. It is an attempt at the worst kind of Stalinist indoctrination. The third video (3 1/2 minutes) is part of a lecture in which he merely repeats watermelon propaganda as if it is solid fact.

Watch the three videos, and then tell me its not important that one of the first thing that needs to be done in restoring America (and other western countries) is to take back our education systems from the hands of these stinking Marxists and Stalinists and frauds posing as educators.
