There are tyrants and there is freedom, and never the twain shall meet, other than in conflict. If only. In fact all over the globe the West, that professed bastion of ‘individual rights’ rushes to do deals with collectivist tyrants and dictators. Political parties that have freedom and liberty in their charter can’t wait to prostrate themselves before murdering tyrannical scum like the Chicom Generals, Fidel Castro and Muammar Gadhafi.

Worst of all has been the United Nations. If you go to this page, you can read the high minded language that is the “The Universal Declaration Of Human Rights”. Leaving aside (for the sake of this argument) the validity of such a declaration, I’ll reproduce here the first three paragraphs-

Whereas recognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world,

Whereas disregard and contempt for human rights have resulted in barbarous acts which have outraged the conscience of mankind, and the advent of a world in which human beings shall enjoy freedom of speech and belief and freedom from fear and want has been proclaimed as the highest aspiration of the common people,

Whereas it is essential, if man is not to be compelled to have recourse, as a last resort, to rebellion against tyranny and oppression, that human rights should be protected by the rule of law,

There is much said on this site about the failure of the US Republican Party and the so called Conservative Parties of the UK and NZ and Australia to stand for their founding principles. And they don’t, but this betrayal pales into rank insignificance against the cowardly duplicity of the UN and its treachery in regard to the high minded principles espoused in its charter. And no more stark example of this treachery can be seen than in their cloying regard for the despicable tyrant Gadhafi.

Since lifting sanctions on Libya in 2003, the U.N. has honored Gadhafi’s envoys with seats on the Security Council and Human Rights Council, plus the 2009 to 2010 presidency of the entire U.N. General Assembly. Last March Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon flew to Libya for a meeting of the Arab League, chaired by Gadhafi. In the last few days, the UN has at last seen fit to reverse its position on Gadhafi somewhat. Too little and far too late.

The UN’s claimed regard for freedom and liberty is a fraud. Just like so many other international political entities, the UN has been converted by the left into a vehicle for incrementally advancing the ideal of global socialism.

The UN Charter is a lie and a deceit and a fake and an insult to basic human dignity. If the UN really cared for the principles espoused within it would not be allowing despotic nations to assume positions of power on its Assemblies, Committees and Councils. Not just Libya, but Cuba and China for two glaring examples, should be expelled. They won’t be. The reality of the UN is that it is just another cowardly sneaking yellow force of the left, and its long past time Western nations stopped going along with the fraud, and turned their backs on this despicable collection of anti-human liars cowards and charlatans.

The rebellion in Libya should be a turning point for the West. It should force a reappraisal of any policy that bestows even a modicum of dignity on and deference to tyrants like Gadhafi and his ilk. But can you see the current crop of left wing weaklings who profess to be our leaders doing what should be done? Nope, neither do I , and that is why our objective has to be to replace everyone of them, until we have leaders who will enshrine traditional western values of individual liberty, and not tread all over them in craven spineless supplication to the UN, that despicable collection of totalitarian tyrannical scum.
