A group of Christchurch Property Owners face down the authoritarian bureaucrats of Civil Defense who are too frightened to come out and face them.
Key is mute as usual. Probably organising a poll on the subject before deciding what to do.
Three cheers for these people for mustering the courage to do what so badly needs to be done. It has to happen many more times and on a much greater scale. The ruling class needs to be smoked out of their boltholes and dealt to.

I have no doubt there is some danger – but by now the worst have fallen or been pulled down.
I say let the property owners take an informed risk, should that be their wish.
Or are we slaves?
