Interesting chart showing how the government has continued to raise the debt level in the US. And while this debt limit has been continually raised, the ability of the US to produce wealth has been steadily reduced too, by government growth and a host of bureaucracies producing millions of pages of regulations and rules.
One could be forgiven for thinking there was some plan behind it all. The chart is particularly useful as an illustration of what an out of control government and bureaucracy will do to a country, and what happens if you keep voting for Progressive ideas.
Since 1962, the debt ceiling has been raised a total of 74 times. In 1996 it stood at $5.5trillion, and it was last raised in 2006 from $12.1trillion. It is estimated that the new ceiling increase (to be introduced after the present one is met) will be to $15.4trillion

Exactly right Caleb. What a farce the “limit” is.

Yeah truly amazing figures . I heard that the US borrows 188 million a hour, something has got to give. But hasn’t Barry done a marvelous job of destroying a once great country, no doubt it’s a top down bottom up move. Anyhow if the arse keeps falling out of the dollar might take the wife over to a NASCAR race and spend some more time in Vegas, real good redneck stuff. Better do it before the deficit hits the next trillion, will have to pack a wheelbarrow to carry the cash if it does.

It’s a mind numbing number, it looks like the distance between planets rather than USDs…

Yeah SSB, I used to be happy with ‘community organiser’ until I discovered Smirnoff and ‘low level socialist agitator’…….much more accurate.
