Apologies

Never expected to be off line for such long period. Have been in transit for a while and have now ended up in a dark and uncivilized part of the world where the natives are uncouth and uneducated. Violence is always present and blood is shed every day. The weather is atrocious and the skys are constantly grey. I once said I would never return to such a place, and I should have kept my word and stayed well way from Taranaki.

How well I know that feeling. You have my sympathy visiting that part of the world. It seems that since I left Marxist Helengrad things have deteriorated even further.

I don’t do drugs, side show Bob, and my comment was not aimed at Taranaki specifically. The point is, Red Helen’s Marxist influence affected the entire country and that is what I was referring to as an ex-pat living in Australia. Poor old NZ, it’s doom has been written for decades, sadly. A great little country destroyed by socialism and catering to Maori activism.

Sadly I have to agree FP , oh I did know what you were meaning, just shit stirring. I’m sorry to say FP but people like yourself are also part of the problem. I mean no personal insult but if the hundred of thousands that have jumped on the plane had stayed and taken a stand things may be much different. We are fighting a losing battle because all we have left is the scum, simply because they either can’t afford a ticket or dream of that socialist utopia.

Sorry Bob but that’s bullshit. Because we jumped on a plane New Zealand is somehow a worse place? Get fucked. I can’t speak for anyone else, but since I left New Zealand, I’ve paid more in taxes in New Zealand than when I lived there. Because I choose to invest there. I was never politically active when I lived at home, but since I left I’ve gained a perspective; I’ve realised just how far left New Zealand has been allowed to drift. For the first time ever, The Gantt Guy has joined a political party (Brash for PM). I’m much more aware, much more active and much more willing to contribute since I left than when I lived there.

I would love to come home from my self-imposed economic exile and one day I will, but it will be when I no longer have to rely on ‘working’ to earn a living. Why would I when I earn double in Australia what I would in NZ? I can earn more here, and invest more there. It’s a win-win in the meantime.

So don’t make the mistake that a lack of physical presence means a lack of love, a lack of participation or a lack of contribution.

Well spoken Gantt. May I add that by voting with the feet one sends a signal that is perhaps even stronger than casting a vote in the current fraudulent election setup.
Like you I’ve joined ACT to give a strong message to that party it should stay its course.

Nonsense. Mostly, those who stay in NZ now are there by choice. Anybody who can afford a car can afford a ticket. What’s more, there’s nothing at all to prevent Kiwis living overseas from voting.
“..taken a stand?” WTF! We “took a stand” before we left and voted National. Trouble is, our stand didn’t equal the racist dole bludger public tit worker demographic.
Take a stand? Give me a fucking break.

I’m sorry guys I still disagree. I to have lived outside NZ and could have easily stayed away if I had wished it so. You can get on your high horses if you so wish but it takes more then paying taxes and voting. We’ve lost and are losing our best and brightest. Perhaps the best way I can explain the present situation is like looking at a set of scales, left one side right the other, you can guess which side is getting heavier. By far the highest percentage of Kiwis I meet overseas were bent to the right and to conservative thinking and this also was true for many Maori. It’s hard to fight the general mindset in NZ when that mindset grows stronger simply because those that have left on the plane are saying it’s all to hard. Kg states, most staying in NZ do so by choice, no don’t think so, I’m sure many more would go if they could sell their properties. The one thing that may save NZ is the crash of the property market. Sorry if I offend you.

We left, and left a house for sale. As a result we’re going to lose somewhere north of 100k.
But the alternative didn’t bear thinking about. The harsh fact is, Kiwis are so conditioned by years of socialism that there is simply no way the tide of marxist media, politicians and cowardly refusal to accept responsibility for their own lives is going to be turned back.
I lost track of the number of conversations I had during the lead-up to the last elections with people who didn’t even understand the difference between right and left, people who agreed that Helun’s mob were assholes but weren’t prepared to vote for an alternative in case they lost their WFF payments. I lost track of the number of people who thought I was “over the top” in my loathing and contempt for the council apparatchiks who could tell me what to do with my own property.
In short, Kiwis had morphed from the proud, independent hardworking people I once knew into a bunch of whiny, cowardly State clients.
Why the fuck should I stay and fight for a better life for people like that?

It isn’t about being offended Bob. It’s not personal. We on the right can have ‘honest’ conversations about this stuff without getting all pouty. I respectfully disagree with your opinion (hence my calling it ‘bullshit’) but that’s because I am one of those who fled the reign of terror under the Klarkenfuhrer. I actually spent 2 months in NZ at the end of ’09 but came back to Australia when I realised nothing had changed under Quisling Key (in many respects things got a lot worse. He has betrayed the people of NZ with his forked tongue). At the time, I actually walked away from 2 job offers there, simply because I am able to earn double (and yes, I mean literally double) here. Which allows me to invest a lot more over there.

Another thing about that “I’m sure many more would go if they could sell their properties.”:
There’s always a reason not to be free and cowards can always find several. The simple truth is that a free man will pay what it costs.

Side show Bob, why don’t you get real? Wake up, for goodness sake. I actively opposed all the crap that was going on in NZ for years whern I was there, and where did it get me? Or anyone else for that matter. Most of the wimpy politicians are tarred with the same brush and no matter how the peons in NZ society protest they are damned well ignored. They have no power whatsoever. For decades tons of ink was spilled protesting the surrender of the country to the Maori, even numerous books were written, documenting the stupidity. Trouble is the propaganda so fully inflitrated the education system and every other government institution that truth and common sense was overwhelmed. Even the National Party turned into a pack of liberal wimps. Now the country is nbot one country anymore, it is divided in two: Maori and then everyone else–in that order. I get sick every time I hear the NZ national anthem being sung in two languages. That was started when common sense capitulated to catering to whinging shit-stirring left wing activists. Remember, a house divided cannot stand. NZ is divided by race. I’ve even heard from Maori mouths, those living in Australia, that they were glad to get back here because of the racism in NZ now–and they don’t mean white racism, the kind the bullshit media and Mauri activists say can only be committed by whites. NZ is terminally ill, so don’t blame those of us who are sick and tired of having this crap in our faces from morning until night, seven days a week, 12 months a year from radio, television, the NZ (Marxist Daily) Herald, the education system, the unions, and probably even the brainwashed bopy scouts these days. I’m in my seventies, I reckon I have earned a bit of peace after so many years of that crap. It is so peaceful never hearing the words “Treaty of Waitangi” these days — until now I had forgotten it existed but this exchange has brought it all back. I’ll probably have nightmares tonight. It’s said I sippose, but I never want to set foot on NZ soil again. Even that wimp Keys apparently wants to turn it over the Maoris. To hell with that glorified stone age culture.

I live here in NZ rather than Australia because I pay FAR less tax here! For those of you who think crossing the ditch is a method of avoiding socialism, think again! The Libz are right, compared to Australia this is New Freeland!

Cadwaller, I agree Australia is as much a socialist shit hole as New Zealand. The only difference is we wage slaves earn a shit load more over here, even with the higher income tax rates. Like I’ve said before, I’m able to invest in NZ businesses at a much higher rate than I would were I living in and earning NZ dollars.

OK Gantt but you are no better off, other than being able to go to the beach on 200 days of the year. I regard WA and Victoria in the same way as I did the old “..stans” which were part of the USSR. The higher wages are mythical if assessed in net terms and one is above the average income.
