I usually steer clear of all liberal left wing propaganda outlets like TV One and TV3. I prefer to sit on the sidelines and wait for them to go broke. Its fascinating to see them continue to push the left wing business model when all across the globe, its obvious to anyone with any commercial acumen that its a model that has long ago reached the end of its use by date.
FOX News in the US leaves all its competitors in its wake by using a more politically balanced model. Here in NZ, we’re still so stuck in the left liberal groove its a wonder Karl Marx hasn’t been dug up and made to sit on the TV One board of directors.
Q & A is presented by the hair dyed botoxed old liberal bore Paul Holmes, a big government networker whose political views are so dated he should be in a wax museum next to Franklin Roosevelt. (Actually from the sweat that poured off him, he looked like he was melting anyway). Today they had new Conservative Party leader Colin Craig on, so I watched it.
On the panel, we had Katherine Rich, another whining social liberal who is so wet she even got kicked out of the damn disgraceful soaked to the skin National Party, and another couple of incompetent socialists/communists/progressives whose names don’t really matter that much. Just more of the same old same old far left crap, who push the party line while posing as moderates, or worse, objective commentators.
Into this trap walks Colin Craig. A courageous appearance, but you know what, he beat them all, and one of the reasons he did so was that in that collection of mouldering old liberals, (focused on you guessed it, homosexual marriage) he stood out starkly as something fresh and different. A real ray of sunshine in the progressive gloom.
Holmes, like most who work at TV One, is just a progressive scumbag, and, in the most cowardly manner, he tried to corner Colin Craig (as a racist or a hypocrite or some other of the left’s favourite labels) by attacking him on his light hearted reference to Jews and Scots being careful with money. Pathetic and if TV One was a real broadcaster, they would have dropped this grossly ignorant politically partisan geriatric loser two decades ago.
After Craig, the panel of far left liberals “discussed” him. What a friggin laugh. That anyone calls this charade a professional show is a measure of how low broadcasting standards have sunk and why most of them, including TV One and TV3 are heading for the wall financially. Not a sign of anyone who did not conform to the required bleeding heart social liberal mindset. Not even a faint-hearted supporter of Conservatism within a light year.
TV One is going down, and so is TV3, and they’re so immersed in their little preaching to the converted liberal world, so compelled to sermonise on progressivism, they won’t cease the idiocy until they’re broke. Good on you scumbags. Keep up the good work, and the sooner you’re on the damn breadline, the better for the broadcasting industry.
Maybe after its collapse it will be rebuilt without the suffocating influence of the audience destroying clapped out politically partisan progressives who dominate the industry now. Or maybe the industry will fade away altogether. Either way, it will be a welcome advance on the ideological corruption and political nepotism that presides today.

Squirmed my way through Holmes trying to be funny, winced at Paganini and the lefty Victoria Uni political expert and not knowing Craig as I am not a Jaffa, I was pleasantly surprised and thought he was a fresh breath of air. Holmes attempt to belittle fell flat.
Johansson made some cynical dig at Craigs parties prospects that I hope has the effect of spurring him on.

It is all very well to welcome the demise of the trashy TV channels but when they fall over will the government develop a replacement at the expense of the tax-payer? You can bet on that!
I do not mind Mr Craig’s philosophy but from his web-site I suspect he is interested in developing a cult of personality. Why he’d agree to appear on TV with the poisonous clapped out Holmes is a genuine mystery.

Ah what a breath of fresh air. Thanks for that article. I feel the same. Friggin liberals focus on anything they can to try smear him. ‘Homophobic’, ‘thrifty’ (as if that wasn’t a trait this government needed’, ‘failed mayoral candidate’ – Ha! They don’t refer to Banksy like that. What about Craig’s policies? Any light on those? Sheesh, Holmes, I thought 20 years of ‘reporting’, if you can even call it that, would have taught you how to conduct a decent informative interview.

Having just watched the re-run on TVNZ7 I agree that Colin Craig easily outsmarted Paul Holmes – not that that would be very difficult. Had to smile too at Pagani’s feeble attempt to smear Craig’s anti-smacking repeal comments by contrasting them with the world’s economic woes, when Craig was simply responding to Holmes’ line of questioning. And Holmes couldn’t even get the name of the Marine and Coastal Area Act right, even with a crib sheet. Epsom will be interesting if Craig stands there, but I don’t think he will – John Banks will romp in anyway. The interesting thing to watch will be the Act party vote, as the Conservative Party will probably siphon off some of that.

Yes, it was a farcical example of current affairs television if ever there was one. You’re probably right about Banks winning Epsom, but I wish you weren’t. Bank’s (IMHO) doesn’t even talk the talk anymore, let alone walk the walk.
