Today, as I was reaching the end of my daily read of the internet, I idly flicked on to Brian Edwards blog. Shock horror. There’s a picture of Hitler Jugend, all marching and looking healthy. What’s this?

The pain in the arse Marxist social liberal who falsely presented himself as a neutral presenter on our TV screens for so many years is wilfully committing a breach of Godwin’s Law? I read on, and my mind boggled at the outrageous partisan blindness and bigotry of this poncing wet effete liberal.

Mr. Edwards was complaining about Trevor Mallard’s suggestion that sport should be compulsory in NZ schools and that was the reason for the pic of the Hitler Jugend.

Good grief. Our education system has been a derelict wreck for so many years, decades even, because of the compulsory teaching of the tenets of Marxism and social liberals, and the usurping of parental rights, and only now, on the matter of sport, does Mr. Edwards suddenly need to warn us of Hitler Jugend style brainwashing??? ..and compulsion??

Here’s a precis of his complaints-

… I have some pretty personal reasons for disapproving of Trevor Mallard’s proposal to make participation in school sport mandatory. Here’s what he said:

‘I think we’d make it compulsory. I’m not saying everyone should play rugby, but encouragement – unless there are medical reasons – of some sort of club-type activity.’

… what Trevor seems to be missing is that the word ‘sport’ and the word ‘compulsory’ are antipathetic. For something to be ‘sport’, it must by definition be voluntary. Anything you have to be forced to do can’t be ‘sport’.

… it really isn’t fair that every Kiwi kid should be compelled to share your obsession..

I’m looking forward to Mr. Edward’s posts complaining of the compulsory immersion of pupils in Progressive styled sex education, socially liberal mores, Marxism, atheism, racism, tribalism and multi-culturalism. In other words, every obsession of the Progressive left.

I’m waiting for his posts in support of private education, or even vouchers.

But I won’t hold my breath.
