Today there’s a Reuter’s article in the Dominion Post (Stuff) under the byline of Lisa Richwine, and its headlined “Shareholders slam Murdoch”.
The article does its best to convey the impression that shareholders are unhappy with Murdoch’s governance. Its the standard left “Get Murdoch” theme, and kicks off with the paragraph-
British member of parliament Tom Watson led the charge against the media mogul, saying journalists at the defunct News of the World hacked computers as well as phone voice mails.
The article does not identify Watson as an expense account abusing hard left member of the British Labour Party or mention his long campaign against the “Murdoch press”. Watson isn’t a real shareholder. He represents 1,669 shares of nonvoting stock held by the AFL-CIO, clearly just a device to get him into shareholder meetings.
Amazes me that the Dominion Editors think such political dishonesty as this gets to pass unnoticed these days. I guess they’re still in denial about the blogosphere, which is why we will eventually succeed in bringing these deceitful left wing charlatans down.
The “phone hacking scandal” as it is called is just another “get Murdoch” strategy of the left, and dishonest journalism like this only helps in convincing objective observers that the whole issue is just a politically motivated beat up and a hypocritical sham.
