On Wednesday a Boy Scouts affiliated staff member of the US Suffolk Law School sent out an email soliciting “much needed supplies to put in care packages to be sent to deployed troops.”
The “supplies” are just basic stuff like coffee and snacks that soldiers find hard to come by in Afghanistan or other postings. Mike Avery is a Professor at the law school, and he responded to the appeal thus-
I think it is shameful that it is perceived as legitimate to solicit in an academic institution for support for men and women who have gone overseas to kill other human beings. I understand that there is a residual sympathy for service members, perhaps engendered by support for troops in World War II, or perhaps from when there was a draft and people with few resources to resist were involuntarily sent to battle. That sympathy is not particularly rational in today’s world, however.
… Why do we continue to have this oversized flag in our lobby? Why are we sending support to the military instead of Americans who are losing their homes, malnourished, unable to get necessary medical care, and suffering from other consequences of poverty? As a university community, we should debate these questions, not remain on automatic pilot in support of the war agenda.
The words in the Professor’s email echo the sentiments of the Communist Party of America. Trevor Loudon writes-
The Communist Party’s aim, through the “peace movement,” is essentially to weaken US Defense capabilities to the advantage of Russia, China, Cuba, North Korea and other sworn enemies of the United States of America. In more honest times, this would have been called what it is – treason.
Mr Loudon is right. What’s more, Mike Avery is only the tip of the iceberg. Our academic institutions have been completely infiltrated by Marxist traitors to western democracy. They fill student’s heads with their treasonist garbage and then these students leave university passionately believing in these communist inspired lies. Too young and naive to know they’re being used and indoctrinated rather than educated.
Veteran’s Day (or Armistice Day) has just passed and the treasonist words of Mike Avery are a stark contrast to an article I found on Major. Dick Winters, made famous by the book and TV series “Band of Brothers”. Known as a “soldier’s soldier”, Winters died in January this year aged 92. From the article-
One of the most harrowing experiences of his service came in late April 1945. While on patrol, his men discovered a German slave-labor camp near Landsberg. It was a part of Dachau concentration camp. It was a ghastly scene, and Major Winters found wheels of cheese stacked in a cellar near the camp and distributed it to the emaciated prisoners.
“The memory of starved, dazed men who dropped their eyes and heads when we looked at them through the chain-link fence, in the same manner that a beaten, mistreated dog would cringe, leaves feelings that cannot be described and will not be forgotten,” Major Winters wrote of the experience. “The impact of seeing those people behind that fence left me saying, only to myself, ‘Now I know why I am here.’”
One of the most important steps in the rescue of the west from the evil of the Cultural Marxists is the removal from our universities of politically motivated subversives posing as educators.

What puzzles me is that there is a need for anyone to solicit care packages for deployed troops.
Surely the government(s) responsible should be able to ensure that the troops are properly looked after and that they have not just the basics but some luxury items?

And while Marxist traitors like Mike Avery decry with faux indignation “support for men and women who have gone overseas to kill other human beings”, one can imagine his complete support for encarcerating “dissenters” to the Marxist agenda in slave-labour camps – where they might learn to become “better citizens”. And no doubt if they didn’t conform his ilk would have no qualms about “dispatching” such individuals with the excuse they are “enemies of the state”.

The left are the most vile people, and we have to be on our guard against them, for history tells us what they are capable of, and we can see the signals today forewarning us of events that can easily occur again.

Not too dissimilar to Christian Pastors being jailed or fined [in Canada IIRC] for simply preaching what the Bible says about homosexuality – and this in their own church!!!
