Jon Stewart – influencing a generation with pathetic liberal BS

Jon Stewart 23 year old Natasha McKenzie, President of College Democrats of America, mourns the demise of Jon Stewart “I was somewhat heartbroken. My entire newsfeed was full of statuses and tweets about his departure, and a lot of people were shocked.”

Amy Mitchell of the Pew Research Center said about Stewart’s audience breakdown: “More than 70 percent have political views that align with the liberal side of the spectrum. Only 7 percent have views that align with the conservative.”

The Today Show claims to be a “fake news” show that satirizes what’s wrong with news. It could be that, but it isn’t. It is everything that is wrong about today’s snarky liberal media elite.

Stewart and his producers create taped interview segments full of unethical cutting designed to provoke laughter in their gormless fawning shallow followers. There is no attempt at fairness or accuracy. Producers lie without a skerrick of remorse. The things they think are funny are predicated on concepts that are infantile and wrong. Often these attempts at humour are nothing more than cowardly smears. The audience laps it up in their single political dimension ignorance.

The irony is the liberal legend of Jon Stewart began with his October 15, 2004 appearance on CNN’s “Crossfire,” where he rhetorically sentenced that show to death. He proclaimed, “It’s hurting America. Here is what I wanted to tell you guys: Stop! You have a responsibility to the public discourse, and you fail miserably.”

CNN announced it was canceling the show two months later, as network president president Jon Klein told the New York Times “I agree wholeheartedly with Jon Stewart’s overall premise.”

As is so typical of liberals/ progressives who preach one thing while doing its opposite. Comedy Central has never felt any responsibility to “the public discourse.” If we applied Jon Klein’s standard, it would be time for “The Daily Show” to be canceled. Maybe it will be now that the smirking coward Stewart has resigned. Good riddance.
