A recent survey of 1,027 adults showed for the first time since 1997 that a majority of both whites (62 percent) and blacks (65 percent) say race relations are bad, CBS reported. In February, just 35 percent of whites held that view.
Historically, blacks have had a more negative view of race relations than whites — but whites are now similarly pessimistic. Majorities of men, women and Americans of all age groups now say race relations are bad.
In addition, fewer than 1 in 5 Americans thinks race relations are improving in the U.S. Most either think they are getting worse (44 percent) or staying about the same (37 percent).

The Left will simply blame the Right, as always. The Right blames complex economic and social problems; welfarism and long-term social stagnation; the psychology of dependency and a failure of Black leadership: mostly race-baiting demagoguery and excuse-making. And gross abuse with the welfare system for political advantage, concurrent with the destruction of the Black family. The Left’s politics is surface in its appeal only – where’s the substance? the results?
In reality its politics is a means to a political end only, not an economic or humanitarian one, even though that’s exactly what they imagine it is. It’s why they can only blame “the Right” than ever admit to making mistakes. The whole thing is a political football; and it’s served them well. They’ve owned the problems of Black communities for decades. It hasn’t helped. But still they won’t admit they’re wrong. They don’t need to. It works politically.
