I actually don’t believe either Key or Shearer are “Progressives”. At least, not in the same class as avowed Fabian, Clark. Key and Shearer are not ideological in that sense. They are spineless. Pushed around by the various factions and interests in their parties, to the point where I can quite easily see them saying one thing to one faction of the party, and the complete opposite to another. They are both feeble, and have no place in the political process.

Re the Guy murder:
Boe, the youthful follower of MacDonald,( Mac D, the acquitted and innocent individual tried for Guy’s murder) has been gaoled for two years for his confessed participation in some items of livestock killing, milk storage vandalism, arson and deer poaching by MacDonald.
Two years as a hanger on? More like 200 hours community service BS and 3 months home detention in any normal NZ Court.
But you get it….this is so the System can sentence Mac D to perhaps five years plus for the same crimes, crimes usually designated something / nothing in NZ.
Let me predict Mac D will get more than any manslaughter or some street homicides……….for nasty rubbish, but still rubbish IN COMPARISON.
The Establishment will sentence him for a “crime he did not commit”.
Who in NZ is doing similar time for similar crimes….no one.
