Merry Christmas to all, and especially the bloggers, commenters and readers who have helped me get TrueblueNZ up and running. Special thanks in that regard to KG at Crusader Rabbit. Thanks mate. (Gecko may recognise some of the material in the video 🙂 )
Light blogging over the next few days.

Merry Xmas backatcha Reddie . . good to see you’re doing this blog. A much more constructive use of your time and political erudition than to and fro-ing with those ill-informed numb-nuts (aka the Kiwiblog Right) at KB, IMHO.

Time for a break, but am sure our favoured pollies will never stop stepping on tripwires.
All the best for Christmas and the new year.

I don’t know what it is about this Christmas, but it seems to have reminded me so much more than usual of just what we have lost in our civilisation and our culture and our lives as a result of the political ascendancy of the Progressives. So many good things seem to have been cast aside or fallen by the wayside. We must get them back.

You’ve given me a good Christmas present already – this blog…
The number of comments threads regularly attract, so soon after starting, is a glowing endorsement…
The key to a great blog it seems to me is not only multiple daily posts, but original, quality content – both covered…
If I may be so bold could I suggest a few improvments..?
1). Send some e-mails to similar minded blog owners to be listed on their blogroll and offer reciprocal listing…
2). Have an about page clearly defining the purpose of the blog and a little bit about who you are/why you post, etc…
3). Think about going .com as the blog has a lot of USA and some UK content, might require a name change…
Just some thoughts…
As I’ve already said, I am enjoying your blog immensely – I probably only agree 80% of time but I love the purity of intention and the clearly demonstrated principles and morals underpinning the posts – you have a great understanding of freedom…
All the best for Christmas and the New Year, I away overseas for 5 weeks so I shall have lots of reading to do when I get back…

I would like to get my lifetime Drivers License back. Is that on your list of “good things” Redbaiter?
Congrats on your blog. It has become part of my rounds of the blogosphere.
Like the video. Geckos skill has captured so well something of the beauty of creation.
And the carol “Silent Night” reminds us that that the Son of God added humanity to His Divinity and entered the constraints of time and space as a baby. His arrival announced to shepherds.
The nations who acknowledged Christ’s life, death and resurrection and based their laws on Christian principles are, sadly, the ones where, as you put it,”so many good things seem to have been cast aside”.
And on reflection, important as it is , my lifetime Drivers License is probably down the list a bit.
Thanks again Redbaiter, for having us at your place.

Yes, Merry Christmas to you and yours, Red. Thanks for all your hard work and many thought provoking topics.
And as you said,
“I don’t know what it is about this Christmas, but it seems to have reminded me so much more than usual of just what we have lost in our civilisation and our culture and our lives as a result of the political ascendancy of the Progressives.”
Sentiments I agree wholeheartedly with – a society without a strong Judeo-Christian foundation where strong moral values, caring for one another, and a love for freedom and liberty, as well as a strong desire by individuals to be actively contributing members of that society, is largely without purpose or direction. We do indeed need to get back to that foundation.
And it is worth repeating what Farmer Baby Boomer said:
“The nations who acknowledged Christ’s life, death and resurrection and based their laws on Christian principles are, sadly, the ones where, as you put it,”so many good things seem to have been cast aside”.”
PS Merry Christmas to all the other commenters and readers, too. Lets make next year one where we continue to do our bit in claiming back what we have lost – what has been stolen from us.

Merry Christmas RB and to all your posters, have a great festive season. Sadly the cows haven’t caught up with employment law yet, might have to get Helen Kelly to have a quite word with them. Anyhow that won’t stop us throwing back a few cold ones. Take care all.

SSB, you orta know by now mate, with all those bennies to keep in the style they’re accustomed to, and their increasing number, you’ll probably need to work a double shift next year… 🙂 Seriously, one of my best mates has been a dairy farmer all his life. Third generation on the same farm. Salt of the earth. Fit as a fiddle, a ball of muscle and sinew, and smokes like a Leyland diesel with 800,000K on the clock and blocked air filters. Have a good Christmas and New Year and all the best for 2011.
Same to you Bla. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and hope 2011 is a good year for you.

Thanks RB, your mate sounds a lot like myself only I 5th generation on farm and the fags, well you can keep them. Six years ago the wife and myself decided we had worked hard enough for the government and after a very hard spring put the cows on once a day milking. We had been milking about 200 cows twice a day by ourselves for about 8 years prior that. I was getting stuffed and with a fairly young family at the time I had just about had enough. It seemed the harder we worked the more we handed over. Putting the cows on once a day has been a revelation. Sure our income isn’t what it use to be but we pay our bills, the animals, kids and wife are happy and we enjoy a great lifestyle. I now realise there are many ways to an end, I just wanted to be debt free. Not debt free yet but the farm is already for the kids to take over if they so wish. As for Leyland tractors, some years ago, during haymaking season I went down to help one of my mates to put his hay away. Driving up his track all I could see was him attacking his tractor with a pick, seems he lost the plot, he’s prone to that, anyhow the poor leyland had about fifty holes all through the bonnet and radiator, seems the heap of shit wouldn’t start, never did again either, such is life. We still give him a hard time about it even now and this was years ago.

Indeed, there aren’t many blogs around where the bulk of the protagonists are able to recognize the difference between civil rights, liberty and homosexual political activism.
