Palin Versus Christie

Sarah Palin was interviewed on Bill O’Reilly yesterday. She’s had to take two or three hits from New Jersey Governor Chris Christie lately, who seems to have been selected as point man for the Republican Party. She got him back quite a good one-

And with all due respect to Governor Christie, you know he has no choice but to cut budgets because he’s broke, his state is broke. What courage really is, is in the face of having a surplus when you have opportunity to spend spend spend other people’s money, you still choose to reign in government to let the private sector soar. That’s real courage, and by the way that’s what I did as Governor here when I engaged in hiring freezes and reduced earmarks by 86% and vetoed the largest amounts in our state’s history. Despite having a surplus that’s real leadership and that’s courage. But I do appreciate that Governor Christie is willing to face the reality in his state and that is that they are going bankrupt. So he has to cut, he has no choice.

Sinner there’s no chance a Palin will ever rise in New Zealand. FFS, even Romney and Huckabee (mebbe even Biden) would be dismissed as “far right” and “radical”.

People like Ruth Richardson, Don Brash, Muriel Newman are vilified by the left’s propaganda wing, and hounded with lies and smears until they are buried under a mountain of bullshit so large a D9 Caterpillar can’t dig them out. The worst part of it all is that the first shovel-load of shit comes from their own side. Richardson was betrayed by spineless traitor Bolger, Brash by that fucking idiot English and Newman by Hide. It’s the left’s deep-cover agents that have proven very effective in keeping any real Right-wing from forming in NZ.

Yeah, can you imagine the hysteria in the Tv One newsroom if a Palin did pop up? TV3 too would apoplectic. The Herald would go gaga. Worst of all, the National Party would be knee deep in their own urine.

That’s a damn-well expressed comment there Gantt. I’d put money on the notion that Brash got knifed by members of his own party. . . and as for Hide, he is, and always was a wishy-washy social liberal.

I can’t understand where all this Palin/Christie rhetoric is issuing from. Christie himself has denied the ambition for presidency, he wants to make a go of NJ. Coke has just opened a new huge complex there and Christie has cut taxes for millionaires to keep them from moving. Not to mention the Facebook owner has invested 100, ooo ooo into NJ schools because he likes the direction Christie is going. So what makes Palin newsworthy stating NJ is broke. The US is broke.

You missed the point by a mile as usual Wiki. Palin cut budgets out of ideological conviction–Christie, because he had no choice.
The post wasn’t about whether or not Christie has presidential ambitions. Or the fact that Palin pointed out that NJ is broke.

OK, good. So Palin cut costs for the sake of cutting costs which is conservative fiscal ideology. So she saying she has the moral upper hand on Christie who she is obviously deeming as a threat. Christie has already stated if the state govt shuts down he’s headed for the governors mansion to eat pizza and watch the Mets. But Palin seems to find Christie intimidating. I can only surmise Palin is baiting and completely needlessly. I know who I would find more confidence with in a debate between the two.

Oh, bollocks! Conservatives believe in cutting costs in order to free up money for productive uses and reduce the burden on the taxpayer.
If you don’t understand that then what the hell are you doing commenting in here?

I got no argument with that. That’s why I comment in here.

I understand conservative fiscal strategy is to preserve financial accountability.

But also I see a different analysis on Palin on a broader scope which isn’t restricted to your pin p o v. Vision is a prism not a mirror.

    I hope Palin wins the nomination – it’ll be a great campaign…

I’ll have to limit myself to 2 hours of FOX a day if it happens…

If she wins it, I reckon she’ll bring the Republicans home in a landslide, Jeremy, despite the best efforts of the MSM and RINO traitors.

Even if he is a bit of a RINO on some issues I will always be a Christie fan for the way he took on the teacher unions. Not sure if any of you have seen this vid:

Can you imagine a NZ politician even coming close to this? I can picture Key mouthing platitudes about “needing to work with the unions to find a solution” “their stance is not very helpful” “I hope we can avoid conflict and industrial disputes” etc.

Yeah Good vid. Christie looks like just what we need there. But if you want to mull the pros and cons, there’s a good thread on the issue on Free Republic-
