Good on Donald Trump. Here he is head to head with that sickening liberal Geraldo Riviera of FOX News who tries every cliched argument the left have used so far on the issue and Trump just kicks them effortlessly into touch. Including the most frequently used one “why worry about this when there are so many other important issues?”
Geraldo is struck dumb. Of course, because when the Emperor is naked, and someone speaks plainly and says “the Emperor is naked”, what can his protectors say?
Once again, it irritates the hell out of me that the Republicans are so spineless on this they have let Obama and the Democrats and their mainstream media agents set the terms of the argument. Trump has shown again how easy it is to confront them.

I get so damn tired of this “more important things” line–what the hell is more important than the President of the USA be an American?

Yeah, I mean the proposition just totally defies logic. Its not important that the President is Constitutionally eligible?? What crap.
I was really disappointed to see Palin and West take that angle, especially after West had made an issue of it previously. Anyway, now that Trump has shown how easy it is to defeat the left on this, maybe they’ll change their approach.

If I was a US voter, I’d personally find it pretty hard to get excited about establishment contenders like Romney, Giuliani, Huckabee, or McCain. I hope Bachmann has a go.

Another way of looking at this is “Why does Obama want to make so many people waste their time to cover off what should be a trivial matter”? Obama is being the bad guy here for not settling a simple issue. Either he cannot, or he loves generating the controversy, and is waiting until he has just about lost all hope of re-election, and then he’ll release it to take the wind out of the sails of the opposition, hoping the public will decide Obama was the victim of harassment. So, the strategy should be for not only calling for the issue to be settled, but calling for Obama not to be delaying the answer for political strategic reasons – point out the strategy ahead of time and he starts to look even more calculating.

Yeah Bachmann has always looked pretty good to me too Angus, and she did pretty well at a recent Iowa convention I read. She’s never really run as scared on the BC issue as many of the others either.
