Finally, the mainstream media in Australasia might be awakening to the fact that the left are a light year past their use by date. While far left newspapers are closing down everywhere and far left journalists are being laid off everywhere, the right continues to thrive. Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity top the radio waves in the US. FOX News is without parallel in cable TV.
In NZ, far left TV One and TV3 continue to sink deeper into the financial mire. TVNZ7, a repository of extreme left crap like Media 7 and Back Benchers, folds with an audience that just would not grow past a couple of hundred thousand.
Andrew Bolt starts on Channel Ten Australia with a Sunday morning program “The Bolt Report”. Now at last we’ll get some truth. Some small relief from the relentless progressive crap that streams from TV screens into living rooms in Australia and New Zealand. Just a half hour show, but its a start.
Ten is loosing money and is hoping Bolt might pull some revenue its way. Maybe. Maybe not. What’s the bet the left, who cannot compete on intellectual grounds, or through debate, will attempt to shut him down, as they succeeded in shutting Glenn Beck down.
One of the factors in the decision to end Beck’s FOX show was that although his viewer numbers were third highest, advertisers had been driven away by relentless intimidation and bullying. “Beck must be stopped” said the left, so stop him they did.
There is an ocean of leftist opinion out there, and in Bolt we have one small bucket of right wing water, but the left still forbid it. Anyone out there ready to bet these stinking cowardly fascist scum that are the left, and attacked Glen Beck through threatening boycotts of his advertisers, won’t try the same strategies with Andrew Bolt?

The amoral Left have NO LIMIT to how low they will stoop. They fight dirty no matter where on the globe they are established. I don’t see their strategy changing in how they deal with Bolt.

I always thought Ten was run by the same guys who run TV3 ? That was one of the reasons I tried not to watch it. And before we get ahead of ourselves, lets not forget that Ten just recently made hard core leftist George Negus its main news anchor.
However, Bolts appointment is thought to be the result of Gina Rinehart’s (heiress of the Hancock mining empire) purchase of a minority share in Ten (and subsequent seat on the board of Ten). Apparently she did make some noise earlier that she was frustrated with the one sidedness of the TV media.
Lets see how this plays out. Ironically Bolt’s show will compete in a time slot with the only ABC show (‘Insiders’) that allowed a conservative viewpoint (the lone conservative of course always outnumbered 3 to 1 by the leftist host, one hard left Fairfax ‘journalist’, and one other semi communist (often David Marr)).

I almost never watch Ten. It’s always The Biggest Loser, or My Kitchen Rules, or Big Brother, or some other BS that adds absolutely nothing to the sum total of human knowledge.
However, I will watch Bolt. He is very intelligent, highly articulate and loathes the left in just the right measure (i.e. totally). His derision of both Gillard and Rudd are a pleasure to listen to.
I only hope Lachlan allows Bolt to be Bolt.

By all accounts viewership for Back Benchers/Benches (whatever) was about 6000. So I couldn’t see Media7, their other flagship show ( with the unctuous Russell Brown presiding ) faring any better .
