Just a quick post to say thanks to all those who drop in on TrueblueNZ and a special thanks to my regular commenters. Today this site dropped into the low thousands on the Alexa ranking in NZ and in making this mark, its has rocketed past many of the long established blogs. It is to me an unbelievable increase over my original starting point. There has been a 80% increase in visits in the last month and a 150% increase over three months.
I try to make this an interesting site, but my prime purpose is to promote views that are coincident with those of traditional Conservative ideas, and while we all might disagree on the detail, the big picture is what is important. My intention is to use the credo expressed by Sid Holland as the basis for my political position and to continue to push for small government, minimal taxes and maximum individual liberty all underpinned by the strength of individual moral conviction.
“To promote good citizenship and self-reliance; to combat communism and socialism; to maintain freedom of contract; to encourage private enterprise; to safeguard individual rights and the privilege of ownership; to oppose interference by the State in business, and State control of industry”.
Today’s National Party are traitors to the very principles the party was founded upon. They are the biggest social and political problem that exists in NZ, and until these traitors and appeasers and poseurs are replaced by people to whom the above principles have some meaning, NZ’s parlous social, economic and political position will not improve.

Yeah, an excellent achievement, Red – keep up the good work.
I always knew you were wasted as just another commenter at that “other faux right-wing blog site” (among others). It is becoming clear that having your own blog is a much more effective way of countering and highlighting our societal decline, and the lack of anything (on the whole) even vaguely approaching a genuine conservative and right-wing political voice in the NZ political sphere.
Of course you also have global appeal with political pieces focussing outside New Zealand. More power to your elbow.

Good work Red. To ad to Kris’ comment, my view is that you express yourself much better on your own forum. One can observe that having your own platform gives you the space to think things over and relief from the agony that is associated with trying to debate with the typical leftist “dummkopf”, who tends to jump to either/or ad homina or Adolf Hitler after the first counter argument. This must be better for your blood pressure also.

Alas, nice in theory, but in the 21st century most men want to be kept and run by “authorities” they eagerly swap freedom for the material ease of the yoke. Freedom from responsibility is far more attractive …..the Statists win, always.
And if Freedom ever arrives you’ll have to partition the country and instal a bullet proof Constitution in your half to keep it.

Kiwiblog makes me sick. What annoys me most about KB is that he keeps crapping on about Labour and non entities like Goff. He fails to recognise that NATIONAL is now the problem. I know he is a National apparatchik, but does this guy get an orgasm when he writes about Key or what?

Nope. We cannot have in National people who pretend to hold to certain ideas but in reality and in their actions prove they hold these ideas in contempt. The Nats have given all the ideological ground they should have held to the left. They are traitors and appeasers without the will to fight. This failure to fight is why we have reached the low point we are at today. Labour fight for what they believe in. National does not. Hence they are our worst enemy.

It is a pity I can’t give more thumbs up to your response about the Nats not being a problem. “We cannot have in National …” I have yet to forgive them for Muldoonary c/w Birch “we worship the ground you walk on”. I have read their Constitution. I suspect Jami-Lee Ross you quoted 3 weeks ago is the only Nat poli to do so.

Yes, good stuff RB. FWIW TrueBlue is my starting blog each day, followed by CR & WO. There are a few others that I occasionally visit or have a quick look at for topics. I don’t always agree with your take on a particular subject (I guess you wouldn’t want that anyway!) but you make me think and that can’t be bad.
