Whereas I agree with the message I have nagging doubts about Perry’s sincerity. I feel he is a sham, but I’m holding my judgment on that until I have more convincing evidence. Then again, maybe I’m completely wrong.
Leaving that aside, the message he delivered during his address yesterday to the Liberty University, a Christian institution in Lynchburg, Virginia, should resonate with a lot of people who are fed up with the having the tenets of secular progressivism shoved down their throats by politically compromised bureaucrats, a corrupt education system and a partisan mainstream media. Fox Nation reports–
“Don’t muzzle your voice because you’re young,” he told the group of young evangelicals. “You have the right, like every American, to speak your mind. You have the right to insist on change, to tell the people in power that you will not have your inheritance spent, or your future mortgaged.
“This country is your country as well. Don’t leave it to a bunch of Washington politicians to tell you how to live your life. This is your future that we are debating today. Don’t be silent.”
Perry said Americans need more Christian values in general. “It is important that [Christian leaders] stand in the pulpit every day and defend those values, those Christian values,” Perry said. “America is going to be guided by some set of values. The question is going go to be: Whose values?”
Sure sounds better than “there is no right, and there is no wrong, everything is relative”.

One response to “Rick Perry- Put Christian Values Ahead of Dictates of Secular Progressive Government”
For sure. What was built and which prospered under those values is best preserved by adherence to them.
