And if they don’t approve of the councilors’ actions in refusing a venue for the “Erotica Lifestyle Expo” exhibition, Hamilton citizens will not re-elect them next election.

No it doesn’t work like that. Clearly the people of Hamilton put the wrong people in charge. Can’t they see that in this age of moral relativism it’s immoral for the Council to refuse this exhibition use of Council property? Immoral I tell ya! Perhaps there’s a primary school not using its hall that weekend?

And David I-wouldn’t-know-a-moral-if-I-stumbled-over-it Farrar would have to be one of the best examples of everything that is wrong with this country in this regard. Not only that but he has the audacity to label the Hamilton City Council “wowsers” and “moral police” for their simply standing by what most right-minded people regard as decent and acceptable. Good on the HCC – would that other councils and representatives of the people make such principled stands in the future, rather than capitulate to the small minority of amoral mouth breathers like the Farrars of the world.

As for Farrar, he claims to be a right winger, yet here he is saying the property owner (the council) should let their venue to someone they don’t want to. Just because its some liberal/ progressive sex show.
There are plenty of other venues.
The organisers of the expo are free to rent from other property owners who are of a liberal mindset, and they should do so. They could perhaps even put Farrar on display as a giant erect dome headed bespectacled penis.
