No bloody wonder is it?
I watched TV news tonight, (one of the rare occasions I have done so).
The more I saw of who was being elected the more disheartened I became.
Really, for the voters to be giving this bunch of cretins creeps bludgers thieves and losers so much power over our lives, they need their heads examined.
I reckon the smart people stayed away.
This election was no victory for liberty, or for NZ’s future.
Source- TVNZ 11.06pm: The voter turnout has been dismal at only 65%, the lowest since the 1880s.
UPDATE-
Turnout was about 68.8% – based on the estimated total number of votes cast (2,254,581) as a proportion of those eligible to vote (3,276,000).
This formula is the more commonly/modern/comparative used way of measuring voter turnout (as opposed to just votes as a proportion of those *enrolled*).

I only bothered because the Conservatives were there.

Had the Conservatives been given a fair shake by the media, a lot of those who abstained would have voted for them. My guess is a hell of a lot of people were simply unaware of an alternative to the farcical mobs slobbering to get their snouts in the trough.

I’m a bit gobsmacked at the result of the polls, I didn’t think they’d be so bloody dim to vote that person back in ….. guess there are a lot of welfare dependents!! You won’t see me back there, NZ is rooted as far as I’m concerned.

For the first time in my life I didn’t vote. I want nothing to do with the deranged circus of fools. Socialist parasites the lot of ’em. How can we allow ocker commies to talk at all is beyond belief.
NZ is beyond help.

I think this is the single-most important statistic of the whole charade. Stuff was reporting last week that 94% of eligible voters had registered. Yet come the day, only 65% could be bothered getting out of bed to line up.
