Tim Tebow’s Faith In God Rocks America

Quite an amazing event occurring in the US right now.

Tim Tebow plays American football. He’s recently achieved some stunning successes on the field.

Tebow is also deeply religious, and frequently gives thanks to the Lord for giving him the inspiration he needs to play so well.

None of this is that exceptional. There are a lot of sportsmen in all codes who have similar faith and spiritual comfort.

What is interesting is the sudden surge in interest in belief in God as a source of inspiration, an interest that has spread like wildfire across the USA, sparked by Tebow’s brilliant on field performances.

The inspirational aspect of this event has overflowed into many different areas of life and is even being becoming talked of as a factor in the US Presidential race and the Republican selection process. The text below comes from a Rush Limbaugh rant on Tebow-

They’re rare, but there are people like that; and Tebow is making a lot of people into believers in him, particularly his teammates. Now, you can’t bottle that kind of leadership. You can’t. Tebow could spend the rest of his life making speeches about it, and he couldn’t take somebody from scratch and turn them into him and that kind of thing. He’s a total package — you know, a product of who he is. But certainly there’s no substitute for confidence. And it’s like I said Friday on this program, and I do think this is a profundity, particularly in politics: Nobody ever won anything defending anything. I mean, you just don’t. I know you’re trying to think of examples where I’m wrong or that would contradict me. On balance, nobody wins anything when they’re defending it. The people that attack, the people that are on offense, they’re the ones who win — and that is an attitudinal thing, and it would certainly help if our people had that, but I fear we’re always defending.

Tebow is constantly under attack from his secular liberal critics. He’s beaten them simply by means of his belief in himself.

Glad you did a post on this, Red.
Tim Tebow, his faith, and the moral character which springs from that faith are an inspiration to us all – Christian and non alike.

The link you provided yesterday, Tim Tebow: God’s Quarterback, is also well worth a read for those interested.

    We never do enough attacking.

We never put the left on the defensive.

Well, I might, but most on the right are still far to cowed. (ask why so many left wing sites have banned me)

This situation has come about by means of the left’s success in promoting the fraud of political correctness, where leftists can cry “offensive’ if you challenge them on their political views.

And the so called right have bought right into it like the damn gullible fools most of them are.

    “We never do enough attacking.”

    Dead right, Red.
Even many Christians think they MUST be meek and mild and never rock the boat – a shame many of them don’t consider that Christ was anything but – He offended the [PC of the times] ruling elite and their useful idiot mob to such an extent that they crucified Him.

I believe it is the sworn duty of moral and righteous people to attack evil where ever we may find it – we should be prepared to storm the very gates of hell. And while we should defend the ground we have won, we should never look back, but should always keep our eyes to the fore; ever focussed on the enemy ’til he has been vanquished.

Political correctness is a tool of the devil – to pander to it is to submit to evil.

“Never retreat, but attack, attack, attack!”
