Poor old Gerry Brownlee must be so sartorially challenged he doesn’t own a decent suit, as we had to pay $167 to hire one for him when he attended Lady Thatcher’s funeral.

Housing Minister and Bluegreens leader Nick Smith (winner, Most Despicable Politician Award 2010 ) bought the most expensive bottle of wine on his parliamentary credit card while dining with a Housing New Zealand executive, but paid for it later himself after someone mentioned it. Talk about pigs at the trough.

The racist party bludgers Harawira and Sharples (Mana and Maori) have of course spent thousands as they run around the country spreading racial division and hate, campaigning on the taxpayer dime and promising handouts to their victims. Sharples spent more than $70,000 in three months on limousines, air fares and accommodation, and Harawira spent $45,000, Winston Peters spent just under $20,000.
