First thing that caught my eye on Drudge this morning was a headline “A guide to the world’s most libertarian countries…” so I clicked on it, and its a Telegraph article which kicks off with a list of countries that tolerate drug use, next issue is homosexual rights and the third issue is prostitution. Taxes and corruption bring up four and five.
Apparently right to bear arms, freedom of speech, and small weak government are just not on the Libertarian agenda these days.
To think I was once stupid enough to believe these guys were going to do something about the tyranny of totalitarian socialism. Conservatism is the only real answer, as its principles are a clear antidote to tyranny. Why is it that Libertarians all seem ignorant of the fact that Constitutional Conservatism when it began was all about individual liberty and limiting the power and reach of government.
