UK Conservative candidate caught out in race baiting scam

UK Conservative Party candidate Afzal Amin

A key Conservative party election candidate was suspended last night after plotting with the English Defence League to stir up racial hatred in a cynical bid to win votes.

The UK Daily Mail reports that Afzal Amin hatched a scheme to persuade the EDL to announce an inflammatory march against a new £18million ‘mega-mosque’. In actuality, the demonstration was never going to happen.

The idea was that Amin would improve his name recognition and local political credibility by appearing to persuade the EDL to cancel the march.

In return for going along with the scheme, the former Army captain promised the EDL members he would be their ‘unshakeable ally’ who would help bring their views into the mainstream if he was elected to Parliament.

The plot was exposed by the EDL who recorded the exchanges with Amin and then provided the recordings to the Daily Mail. At 6pm on Saturday Conservative Party chairman Grant Shapps suspended Amin from the party, pending an investigation.

So what we observe here is a Muslim attempting to cynically exploit UK cultural differences to advance his political career. To further divide society for entirely self interested reasons.

This is one occasion where the deceit has been brought to light. Once can’t help but wonder how many other such events are likewise manipulated and that we never hear about. I’m yet to see any benefit in multi-culturalism, and this seems to be yet one more example of its downsides. The little changes that lead to big changes, as our own NZ Dept for Racial and Social Division (HRC) describes it.
