The first thing to be said about this incident is that before he’s any kind of political commentator, Bradbury is a self obsessed narcissist. As such, its always firstly about Bradbury, and that’s why I’ve never been the first bit interested in what he might have to say about anything.

Secondly, there is as usual, a whole bunch of left wing loons running around claiming Bradbury’s right to “free speech” has been infringed. This is a silly claim, and is mostly just indicative of how the left have no education these days and act as mere parrots for the inebriated claims of their progressive/ elitist masters.

“Free speech” is a misleading term. The correct expression is “freedom of political expression”, meaning the right of citizens to speak out against their governments.

Bradbury still has that right, in so far as it still exists in this one party state socialist basket case country. He can say what he wants. Radio New Zealand is not bound by any law or any custom to provide Bradbury with a platform to spout his narcissistic nonsense, and neither is anyone else.

So the half educated left can shut the hell up with their whining about free speech. Bradbury is still free to spout his self indulgent infantile crap anywhere he wants to BY HIS OWN MEANS.

There’s two things that are pretty funny about this. One is to see all the left wing blogs out there who profess to provide a platform for debate for each side of the political spectrum but invariably shut down any right wingers who seriously challenge their current political dominance, calling this unfair.

Seriously guys?

The left are one party state totalitarians right across the western world, and they’d snuff out free speech in an instant if they thought they could get away with it. So stop the pretence.

The other funny thing is to observe that John Key has taken the National Party so far left he has apparently qualified as a protected species under the soviet Radio New Zealand “Look After Your Own” Act. How much worse can it get?
