Julia Gillard wouldn’t dare go to the last election on the matter of a carbon tax. In fact as the video shows, she lied blatantly on the issue. All politicians are liars, but leftists are by far the worst. Today Labour’s carbon tax passed into law in Australia.
I said in the previous post (directly below) what evil and despicable people populate the left of the political spectrum and Gillard’s conscienceless and cowardly deceit is more proof of this fact. Not that any more evidence was necessary.
Of course Labour didn’t need to tell any lies to get a carbon tax introduced in NZ. The stupid and dishonest Nats did it for them. Thanks mainly to the traitor Nick Smith who is happy to betray everything the National Party once stood for.

The behaviour of the charlatan watermelons when this travesty passed today was utterly disgraceful. What this does, though, is provide Tony Abbott with a platform to go to the next election (February next year is my guess) on a platform of real economic reform. The tax code here is a tangled mess of allowances, levies, exemptions and credits and makes tax practitioners very wealthy indeed. A policy platform of simplification off the back of repealing the ‘carbon tax’ legislation could be a great vote-winner for the Libs.

Australia is in a mess Gantt. This “media inquiry” is a disgrace. I can’t believe the Aussies have sunk to such a barbaric Stalinist low, and I don’t know if Abbot will be able to change things.

His “carbon scheme” is “incentive” allowances to “polluters” to “change” based BS.
Tony, alas, is mostly a social conservative but very much a cheque writing welfare Statist…… not to the terminal degree of the NZ Nats, but this just some relative joy.
You’ll get more passion from Tone on talisman irrelevancies like abortion and gay marriage than any economic conservatism.
The Liberals are still likely to say unwinding the CO2 scam is impossible, (Tone’s “written in blood speech” is to be taken very lightly),…..they then give the Institutions what they want above all things….. CO2 trading on the big board.

Informal in Reps……Shooters Fishers in Senate (they do excellent work on preserving public access to rec fishing, big chance of getting one up, we have 2 in the NSW Upper House), strictly ensuring no flow of my preferences to LibLab.
Voting for Libs changes nothing except the rhetoric, it took me decades to grasp that.
