Republican Darrell Issa, is the U.S. Representative for California’s 49th congressional district, and is the Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. In this role, Issa is taking an aggressive stance against the Obama administration and has vowed to hold hundreds of hearings and launch new investigations into the bank bailouts, the stimulus funds and possibly the health care overhaul.

He is also investigating how ACORN and the New Black Panther Party escaped charges in what looked like politically partisan actions by Obama administration prosecutors. Another ongoing investigation is targeting political interference in the processing of Freedom of Information requests. He recently called the Obama administration the most “corrupt” in history.

Issa is shining some long overdue light on the Obama gang and they don’t like it at all. The Democrats are fighting back, but not in the courts. A group of liberal political operatives in California are launching a nonprofit group, a website and even paid media advertisements aimed at undermining Issa. The group claims to be well funded but refuses to divulge the source of its funding.

They say they’re leaving no stone unturned in digging into Issa’s personal and business history. This week, the group will reveal more than 100 pages about an investigation into a fire that burned down a building that housed his business in the early 1980s.

The launch of this group — which calls itself The Third Lantern, and is naming the website the Issa Files — is remarkable because it’s wholly focused on the activities of one lawmaker who has no immediate plans to run for higher office. The purpose of this new group is to make public documents more public, make life difficult for Issa and sow seeds of doubt on his investigations. They plan to run TV advertisements and other paid media in the future, saying they already have a “significant commitment” of cash.

The group told Politico-

{..} “The purpose of the Issa Files is to shine a bright light on Darrell Issa, his past and his present, in a very fact-based and document-based manner to give the public a chance to learn the facts and see the documents that speak to Issa’s character and credibility and lack thereof, and to better understand who is this guy who is demanding so many documents and delving into so many investigations — a chance for the public to learn about him and perhaps whether or not he has the character to conduct these investigations.”

So there you have it folks. This is what happens to anyone who might try and shine a little light on the shady deals of the corrupt and thuggish Obama administration. The Democrats set up a smear squad and just to underline how corrupt their whole organisation is, refuse to say who is funding it. They have moved from a political party to a group of cowardly thugs bent on holding power at any cost and have no qualms about personally attacking any person who threatens that power.

These are the strategies used by tyrants and political crooks throughout history. Issa’s actions as head of the Oversight Committee are perfectly legal and he is merely discharging his duty to look after the interests of the American taxpayer. His investigations are going to embarrass and perhaps lead to charges against many of Obama’s key henchmen. It should be noted by all Americans that the Democrats would rather fight Issa with public smears than in the courthouse.

There would only be one reason they would choose this path, and that is they’re all as guilty as sin. 2012 is too long to wait to throw these disgusting crooks and gangsters out of office. If luck and justice are on his side, Issa will have more than a few of them behind bars before then.
