Andrew Bolt wrote a post a few days ago about how another of his posts was being used as part of a study in Australia’s public schools. The study is ironically on media bias, and in an act so typical of the left’s treacherous propensity for reversing the truth, Bolt’s text is used as an example of that bias. I read the comments, and thought the one below related a pretty sad circumstance, where educators are turning a son against his father, who escaped the USSR but identifies the same forces he saw there, now working on his son in Australia.
Can you imagine the anguish of this father, a past victim of the left’s totalitarian tyranny in the USSR, seeing the same tyrants at work in his new country Australia, and driving a wedge between himself and his son? Is there a more foul and contemptible force on earth than the left that is brainwashing our children under the guise of educating them?
I can assure you that brainwashing is very real. One example. I was born and grew up in the former USSR. Came here at the age of 30 after completing education in USSR. My son have spent a few years in a private school and now he is in a public school. Both schools engaged in quite a heavy brainwashing. The latest installment was when he came home and told me that socialism and communism are good systems. When I asked why he trusted someone’s opinion who never experienced the system against the one who tasted it first hand, he answered that simply Russians did not know how to build and use but we, Australians, know and can. Need I say more?
Just contemptible. Link to Andrew’s post.

One response to “I Feel This Father’s Pain”
RB, I’ve been playing with these single line memes that, when spoken, can open discussions even among the brainwashed due to the paradoxical humor in the contradictions. One of them pretty well exposes the dirty little secret of Utopias.
Here’s a variation on that one:
For everybody to be happy in the Leftist Utopia, practical jokers will be put in charge.
