Damn right. Obama is proposing a conference which he says it aimed at legislation making it harder for people with psychiatric disorders to purchase firearms, but he is largely untrusted among the gun owning community because of his past attachments to gun control organisations.
Mr. LaPierre said “Instead of the conversation Obama is proposing on gun control, there should be a dialogue about bad people and madmen and how to get them off the street so innocent people can be safe. That’s what the dialogue needs to be about.”
Gun sales have sky rocketed in the US since Obama was elected. In Ohio for example, the 47,337 concealed-carry permits issued last year were the second most since the state began issuing licenses in 2004, when 45,497 were handed out. An Ohio-record 56,691 new licenses were issued in 2009, when Obama took office.

Isn’t it funny that the very people who coddle criminals and release dangerous felons back into the community after serving a few years behind bars always wants to remove the ability of the individual to protect himself from those animals? One would think that there is a conspiracy between leftist politicians and the criminal element.
Here in the States, we believe that the government who fears your guns should be feared. By disarming the public you fasten the collar of serfdom about their necks, but the Democrats have consistently tried to disarm the American public for decades. Why? What is their agenda? It certainly isn’t public safety or they would not loose feral animals upon us with wild abandon.
Mr. Lapierre is absolutely right in his assessment of the political situation in Washington D.C. and I support him 110%. Any man that ridicules people and speaks of their faith in God and in self defense in sarcasm is no friend and cannot be trusted.
