Sarah Palin delivered a speech at the Iowa Tea Party Rally that nails the political problems that not only confront the USA but NZ and Australia and the UK and most of the west. Palin’s criticisms were evenly distributed between Obama and the Republican Party. She urged her audience to confront “the permanent political class,” “crony capitalism” and “the good ol’ boys,” whom she said she took on as governor of Alaska.
“The challenge is not simply to replace Obama in 2012, but the real challenge is who and what we will replace him with.
Nothing gets done in Washington because of an ingrained corrupt and compromised political class.
They’ve got a lot of mouths to feed, a lot of corporate lobbyists, a lot of special interests that are counting on them to keep the good times and the money rolling along.”
Palin called for the elimination of all federal corporate income taxes.
“To balance out any loss of federal revenue from this tax cut, we eliminate corporate welfare and all the loopholes and we eliminate bailouts,” she said. “This is how we break the back of crony capitalism because it feeds off corporate welfare, which is just socialism for the very rich.”
No wonder, is it, that so many on the left and the fake right are so desperately afraid of Sarah Palin making President.

Sarah’s nailed it.
And it’s an unfixable societal tragedy because even the baby boomer Tea Party supporters, who nominally want govt out of their lives, really can’t survive without govt welfare and subsidies.
No-one can be properly independent of the State without some wealth.
Most have none.
The political State relies on that, loves it.

Well, she sure hit the nail squarely on the head there!
That’ll make her some very powerful enemies.

Just imagine a NZ principled politician of the calibre as Sarah Palin. Yeah right dreams are free. The ingrained corruption within our government systems is so widespread it’s accepted as normal and just part of kiwi culture. The pandering to minority groups such as radical Maori and nutty homosexuals is deemed far more important than looking after the majority. Government figures are loathsome creatures that are nothing more than useless parasitic filth. Seriously folks who in their right mind could respect a politician? These political creeps dwell in the sordid world of deception and manipulation. They put themselves on high horses and view themselves as more important than the struggling taxpayer. They have no morals and viewed by the majority of sane people as the lowest of the low. I detest the current crop of vegetable head politicians and I wish we had a Sarah Palin standing in our election, because I could then be persuaded to vote. Anybody that votes for any of the scum standing in the next election is no better than the elected pricks that extort money in the name of socialism. Its way past time NZ revolted against the ruling class of selfish and greedy mongrels that feed us bullshit they’re acting in countries best interests.
Like the US, the land of dear milk and bent money needs a Sarah Palin running the show.

Such a person would never survive in the New Zealand political environment. A Palin-type character would never survive the party-political selection process, and New Zealand has no history of electing independents (unless you count Peter Dunne, which I don’t).

Silly Sinner……
They have the numbers and will always outvote you.
The ability to vote yourself ‘other people’s money’ is the operating constant of your average democracy.
You will, however, get some revenge way into the future when the currency expires…. effectively worthless.

You’re right of course, SInner. The last person elected to Parliament who didn’t disgrace the institution was TWO DECADES AGO. New Zealand desperately needs another Richardson, but the country has been so destroyed in the 20 years since Richardson was there that she would never get close to being elected now.
