Remember how the left worked so hard to get Glenn Beck off the air? Wrote to his sponsors. Engineered an advertising boycott. And when he finally went they were all so happy? No more embarrassing truths about Obama and the left on national television. Well, he’s back and in a medium where the left can’t touch him. Beck has his own internet only TV network. The Wall Street Journal reports-
Because Mr. Beck owns the show and the network, he could make substantially more than the $2.5 million salary he got each year at Fox. GBTV is on track to take in more than $20 million in revenue in its debut year, according to a person close to the company.
The television industry will be watching closely to see whether the TV host can preserve his popularity while migrating to the Web, where efforts to get consumers to pay to watch online-only channels are just beginning.
When Mr. Beck announced GBTV in June, the network had 80,000 subscribers. In the months since, GBTV subscribers have swelled to more than 230,000, according to people close to the network, even though Mr. Beck’s show hasn’t yet begun.
The audience is far less than the more than 2.2 million daily viewers his program on Fox drew, on average, over its 27-month run, which ended in June after clashes with the network’s management.
But it is more than the average 156,000 people who were watching the Oprah Winfrey Network in June.
Beck now more popular than Obama’s good friend Oprah? What are things coming to?

Even the ‘fair and balanced’ Fox couldn’t handle the heat generated by Beck’s exposure of the back room commies and their agenda, that some folk are finally waking up to. There is no longer any real conservative TV out there for anyone interested in getting the unsanitized truth.
While I won’t be paying to watch the Beckmeister run rings around his opposition, I do wish him the very best in his new endeavour and sincerely hope he succeeds in this gamble.

Yeah, I tentatively support Glenn Beck too, although I got really pissed off with him refusing to address the BC issue.
I reckon his failure to pushback on this issue undermines his professed concern with Constitutional adherence.
