How the left wing MSM lies by omission- a stark example

Here is how the national news service of the Australian Broadcasting Commission’s reported an event that occurred in Sydney yesterday-

A man has been charged after he allegedly married a 15-year-old girl in Sydney’s south-west. Police said the man, who was 18 at the time, and the girl were wed in a private ceremony at a home in Lurnea in November last year.

It is alleged the pair have lived together at a home in Yagoona in Sydney’s south-west for the past four months. Police searched the home and arrested the 19-year-old man today. He was charged with marrying a person not of marriageable age and was refused bail.He is due to appear at Bankstown Local Court today.

Here is how the Daily Telegraph reported the incident.

Child bride, 15, married under Islamic law, lived in Yagoona granny flat with ‘husband’, police allege.

The father of a 15-year-old girl allegedly married in a backyard Sydney ceremony says he fears for his daughter under the influence of a ‘husband’ her believes is sympathetic to Islamic State.

The 15-year-old reportedly believed she was pregnant to the 19-year-old, who is accused of beating her after their alleged Islamic wedding in Lurnea last year.

There is much more, but you get the drift. The left wing media will not give you information when it is against their political interests for you to know.

  1. And that’s why I spend more time reading blogs these days than reading MSM. So many times I have been sitting watching the 6pm news (TV1 or TV3, doesn’t matter which) and said to my wife, but there’s a lot more to that story than what they are telling you there. I have an RSS feed to Stuff news items and I skip probably around 90% of the articles based on the leading blurb because it’s mostly infotainment and very little news. And the leftwing slant just makes you shake your head. But there is a real dearth of decent alternatives.

    • Yes, its kind of weird that they don’t display a bit of management initiative and hire some right wing staff. After all, FOX News in the US should have shown them the business model.

Its hard to believe they would let political ideology trump cash flow, but I guess the problem is the management are all left wing too, and therefore too dumb to do otherwise. If I was a shareholder though I would be saying something about it. Staff like Andrea Vance for example, so extremely left wing, are a major turn off to so many people. Yet they still keep her on.
