Eye witness account of LaVoy Finicum shooting (Oregon militia)

The recording below is claimed by the uploader to be the testimony of Victoria Sharp who was in the Bundy/Finicum vehicles and witnessed the shooting of LaVoy first-hand.

Victoria Sharp is 18 years old and one of 10 children of Odalis Sharp, whose family performs religious and patriotic music. Odalis Sharp took seven of her children to Oregon last weekend to perform for the armed occupiers at the refuge.

Victoria Sharp was in one of two pickups with militia members who were on the way to a community meeting in the town of John Day.

“All of us Sharps were going to sing,” she said. “We were just going to try to talk, maybe do some negotiations, and we were going to sing. That was all.”

Victoria was in the same truck with Arizona rancher Lavoy Finicum, Ryan Bundy, Ryan Payne and Shawna Cox. She claims dozens of federal vehicles and countless agents were waiting for the group, pre-positioned at a point along on the isolated rural Highway 395.

Miss Sharp estimates there were 40 law enforcement vehicles at the stop and that snipers were positioned in trees on the sides of the road.

“We all got down on the floorboards,” Sharp said. “They were riddling the car with bullets.”

She says the passengers never drew weapons and attempted to get out of their vehicles before federal agents fired “at least 120 shots altogether” at both vehicles. She also said “I had 20 lasers on me when I got out of the car.”

 

She said when he was shot Finicum was walking with his hands in the air as he said, “Are you going to shoot me? Just shoot me. Just shoot me then,” Ms. Sharp said, “so they did. They shot him dead.

“He was just walking, with his hands in the air, and they shot him dead, his hands were still up after he was dead.”

Finicum was shot at least six times, and three more times after he fell, she said.

Ryan Bundy was shot and wounded as he placed his empty hands in the air outside the car and tried to talk to the agents.

Victoria claims the shooting from the Federal agents lasted five to 10 minutes. No shots were fired by the militia members.

The FBI press release names the following as arrested following the ambush.

Ammon Edward Bundy, 40, of Emmett, Idaho
Ryan C. Bundy, 43, of Bunkerville, Nevada
Brian Cavalier, 44, of Bunkerville, Nevada
Shawna Cox, 59, of Kanab, Utah
Ryan Waylen Payne, 32, of Anaconda, Montana
Joseph Donald O’Shaughnessy, 45, of Cottonwood, Arizona
Peter Santilli, 50, of Cincinnati, Ohio

I wouldn’t want to prejudge this issue while information is still relatively scanty, but it seems to me LaVoy was deliberately shot as a message to the other Militia members. Time may or may not prove this suspicion correct.

I note the MSM are referring to the incident as a “shootout”. How can it be a shootout when all the shooting was done by the Feds only?

  1. A very sad development. Its appears to be either an assassination or suicide. I tend to suspect the former really as the protesters did not appear to be idiots when it came to playing the odds. The truth will surface I guess but which version of it?

    • I would guess it was always a tactic of the Feds to take out LaVoy as the most effective means of sending the message to the rest of the militia that they were not fooling around.

      They could well have seen it as the best means to end the stand off with minimal loss of life.

      Its a shame the militia failed to garner any mass support. If there had been a few thousand armed men in the compound I doubt LaVoy would have been shot.

      They just seemed to be too politically fractured, too poorly organised and lacking in logistical planning/ backup.

      I was surprised too to see one of the leaders tweeting in support of Bernie Sanders. FFS, they would get zero help for their cause from that commie bastard.

      I do not think so.

      Yes he did ask to be shot but I do not think he believed that they would shoot him. Assassinated, possibly but more likely poor discipline on behalf of the feds and once it started they all jumped in.

      The end result is that the FEDS have just upped the anti, they will be reluctant to man up and admit that they made a mistake, but have certainly escalated any future protests, to a new level.

      The next group, and there will be more, will not make the same mistake.

      If it is dreamed to be an assassination expect repercussions.

      The MSM reporting has even by its own standards of B grade propaganda have failed again. I would give them a D- for this one.

  3. I hope La Voys familycome through this tradegy ok and get on with their lives,i dont like to see anyone killed in these situations. I hope these poor deluded people learn a lesson from this and learn to respect the law in future and learn to paty their taxes if they want to graze their cattle and use Government land.

    I hope Bernie Sanders becomes thre next President,i think he will bring a calmer influence to the US,and if enough like minded people get elected to the house of reps and the senate,they may be able to amend that stupid 2nd Amendment and take the guns away from the radicals like Bundy and Co.
