The Rights Strippers

As the absence of an apostrophe implies, I’m not talking about exotic dancers hired for a John Birch Society convention.

I’m talking broadly about governments and politicians. Samuel Langhorne Clemens (better known as Mark Twain) once said-

No man’s life liberty or property is safe while the legislature is in session.

He said that way back in the 1880’s (at a guess) but its more true and more relevant now than it ever has been.

For decades half educated half civilized politicians drunk on the opium of socialism have assaulted our traditional rights with a plethora of legislation that is never (as far as I know) seriously tested against any foregoing legislation or charters or constitutions or declarations.

Property rights have suffered the worst as a result of the attacks of these ignorant of history savages and barbarians.

The intent of socialism is to slowly strip us of every right we ever had that intruded upon the perceived rights of the collective. If they view any legislation as being “for the greater good” it gets a free pass.

Do not ever forget or overlook the neo-communist’s greatest skill- Incrementalism

What looks harmless today or the next year or the year after that provides, when you combine everything that happened on those three dates, a very different sum to each of the parts.

The left want to strip us of every right that slows their long march.

I repeat: Don’t forget that fact, and don’t ever overlook it. In NZ its not a trait peculiar to Labour, because National is as bad as or even worse. Just as in the US, the Republicans are virtually as bad as the Democrats.

Given that in most western democracies the choice given to voters is on one hand more socialism, and on the other even more socialism, this is unlikely to change. Government and politicians will not guard our rights. They will strip them.

It is only ourselves that can save us.

We must hold these stinking posturing cowardly rights strippers in the contempt they are due.

  1. I once wrote an essay on how most people will de-individualize themselves so as to fit in with the group, and the effects that this de-individualization has of limiting good intentions, or personal apirations of office, and can lead to some becoming criminal in what they will do to remain within the group by prostituting themselves to others standards that they themselves, if left alone, would normally find abhorrent.
A big problem in electing to office those whom we believe will truly represent us, is in not delving sufficiently into their background and instead relying on ‘feel good’ emotions. Women are ‘intuitive’ in regard this aspect of electing representatives more so than men.
It takes a very strong willed individual to stand up for his/her beliefs and morals when surrounded by those whose main purpose is to compromise them into party politics.
In this regard, the system was doomed to fail from the start and now needs to be demolished. A better understanding of what drives some to do what they do when they gain the levers of power would be a good place to start over.

  2. The overwhelming majority prefer their lives to be financed with Other Peoples Money……taxed or borrowed OS by the govt.
Socialism made morally acceptable what used to be called “theft”.

Both parties give them exactly what they demand……..the system works perfectly.

Not entirely fair- they have been denied an alternative for too long and are now corralled by socialist manipulators.

If they were denied the vote, no left wing government would ever be elected again.

    Dead right, Red:

“It would be a much better country if women did not vote. That is simply a fact. In fact, in every presidential election since 1950 – except Goldwater in ’64 – the Republican would have won, if only the men had voted.”
    Ann Coulter

And here in NZ I believe this was also a large reason the Clark-led government got in for its second and third terms.

  6. Except, both the left and right here in NZ are just two heads of the hydra. They just take turns. Get rid of one head, you still have the hydra. Much the same in the US as well.
