Will Key Embrace Watermelons Post Election?

I’m getting some pretty strong signals that John Key is seriously considering a post election deal with the Watermelons.

The Watermelons are communists posturing as environmentalists and today represent the extreme left of the political spectrum in New Zealand and they are also now supported by the far left who have deserted Labour under Goff.

Would Key take the Nats this far left?

I do not doubt it for one minute. He already has a host of like traitors in the party as it stands, with the Blue- Green faction headed up by Cronyist in Chief Nick Smith.

I’m waiting for more on this and traveling at the moment so don’t have time to write much but I’m appalled that the Nats are even considering an alliance with closet Communists. Not surprised though.

Its a sign of how derelict the party is and how its going to get even more derelict under present management who are clearly a bunch of incoherent bereft of ideas surrender monkeys.

  1. Its my observation that John Key is much more comfortable dealing with the Left side of Politics than the Right. ACT is borderline with Roger Douglas and Don Brash both being considered extreme. The only reason he is in National and not Labour is that National was experiencing a power vacuum when he wanted to enter politics and thus he believed he had a good chance of taking over the leadership and Labour was firmly under the control of Helen Clark.

  2. Wouldn’t surprise me if he did, himself and the brain dead, grinning Smith will need to take more if they wish to continue with this failing socialist state. The fucking Melons would give their eye teeth to implement an ETS that deals to those bastard farmers. Facing more borrowing and a shrinking tax take due to tougher economic times I’m sure a bit of arm twisting from the fucking communists would give the National Socialists the will to extort more..

  3. Ealier this week on Leighton Smith’s show someone asked Key (I’m paraphrasing) when he would ditch the ETS since CAGW has been discredited and that no big players (US, China, India) were signing up to it. His waffly answer sickened me (“the science blah blah”). Even though I’m traditionally a National voter that was pretty much the last straw. Leighton gave him a serve though!

  4. As you see on the other thread, I’ve got similar concerns about Newt Gingrich. His claiming that “sitting on that couch with Nancy Pelosi was the stupidest thing I ever did” did NOT deny that he believes CO2 is a pollutant or that he’d do anything to rein in the runaway regulations of EPA treating CO2 as a pollutant.

  5. The traitorous, lying, amoral, bottom-dwelling, anaerobic Key has no depth that he wouldn’t be prepared to plumb. This traitor would sell his soul to the devil if it would guarantee him another five minutes in office. Of course the Greens are only a couple of doors up from the separatist Maori party and ol’ hairy legs himself – I think Key has been in the same neighbourhood for some time now …

  7. Hmmm, if Key and the Greens are planning to get together after the election, why would they salt his game with their sticker run on National posters?

  8. Fletch. Yeah, these Green activists and their MP’s (Mad Delahunty, for example) HATE National. Key, Eagleson & Capt. Panic Pants may want a deal, but I doubt such sentiment would ever be reciprocated.

  9. Really? Do you really think Red Russ would turn down Dippity PM, and Mad Meteria Corrections, or Justice, or Social Welfare, or Dog Catcher? And do you really think Key wouldn’t offer it to them if it meant another 3 years as PM?

  10. I just can’t see how they’d pull it off . . even if Citizen Norman & the anarcho-feminist wanted to. The internecine warfare that would erupt within the party would tear it shreds. Green Party members/voters are the absolute dregs of NZ society – Marxists, anarchists, spaced out beatniks and sniveling white trash malcontents who’ve been taught to hate their own culture and heritage – and the Nats are an anathema to these people.

  11. Yeah but now the *real* ne’er-do-wells have followed Comrade Bradford to Mana what’s left is more your “thinking” dregs. Let’s face it, for all its being illegal and coming unstuck, the stickers thing took an element of creativity, planning and execution capability the Bradford watermelons simply wouldn’t possess. The palatable face of communism, if you like. And just unprincipled enough to do a deal with the Nats.

  12. On current polling, peters is within 0.1% of getting back – he and the watermelons are stripping support off Team Goofy. At the same time, there’s a nearly 13% “don’t know” swing vote up for grabs.

This creates a scenario where Key will not be able to form a government *without a support agreement with the watermelons* with the current players in the running.

However the rise of the Conservative Party looks interesting. It’s now on my radar screen and might – just might – persuade me to step away from a personal election boycott and give ’em the tick. A right wing party holding balance of power would be a very attractive thing to entertain.
